Pomatomus Cast On

I am knitting Pomatomaus. A wonderful sock pattern that I found at Knitty. I want to join the Pomatomaus KAL but I am having difficulty signing up. I'll try again later.
I made several swatches for this sock and have finally settled on 3mm circular needles using the magic loop method. There is also a circular needle sock KAL. maybe I will sign up for that. I am using cotton lycra instead of wool because these are summer socks: orange blend Cascade Fixation. The colour reminds me of orange creamsicles.
